Mealo stores your dishes, meal history, food-group tags, plans, achievements and settings locally. When available, Apple iCloud may sync app records and goals within your own account using private CloudKit and key-value storage. The developer has no backend that receives these records and no access to users' private CloudKit databases.
Mealo includes no advertising, behavioral analytics or cross-app tracking SDK, and requires no separate Mealo account.
Apple Health is optional and write-only: after you enable it and authorize sharing, the app writes nutrition from meals you record. It does not read your Health data. It may delete samples it created when related records are undone/deleted. Apple's Health syncing follows your Apple account settings.
Apple Foundation Models runs on-device to rephrase suggestions and map text to mood choices when the device, OS, language and model are available. Mealo does not transmit prompts to a developer-operated cloud LLM service.
Apple handles Mealo Pro purchases through App Store/StoreKit; Mealo does not receive payment-card details. Meal reminders are scheduled locally. The widget reads the app's shared storage.
You can edit/delete records in Mealo and manage Health, notification and iCloud permissions through Apple settings. Deleting the app alone may leave synced iCloud records, which can return after reinstalling.
Contact the developer through Mealo Support. Do not post health records, meal history or private information in public support discussions. If you voluntarily send a support request, the information you provide is used to respond to and resolve that request.
